Tinplate Production Line
Pickling:
Pickling is the process of chemically removing impurities, rust and oxide layer that develops on the surface of
the plate sheet, also improves the surface quality of the plate to prepare for further processing-cold rolling.
Cold Rolling
To reduce the thickness of the metal by a predetermined amount until the desired thickness is achieved. The process
begins with pickled and oiled coils that pass through the five stands. The metal is then reduced in one pass until the
final thickness is achieved.
Annealing
Tinplate annealing is a process used in the manufacturing of tinplate, which is a thin sheet of steel
that is coated with a layer of tin to prevent rusting. The annealing process involves heating the tinplate
to a high temperature and then cooling it down slowly to make it more ductile and malleable. This process
helps to remove any stresses in the steel and to improve its mechanical properties.
The annealing process is typically carried out in a furnace, which is heated using gas or electricity.
The tinplate is then introduced into the furnace and heated to a temperature of around 800-900°C. Once
it has reached the desired temperature, it is held at that temperature for a specific period of time, typically
several hours, to allow the steel to fully anneal.
After the annealing process is completed, the tinplate is then slowly cooled down in the furnace to prevent
it from becoming too brittle. This cooling process may take several hours as well, depending on the thickness
of the tinplate and the specific requirements of the manufacturer.
Tinning
The electrolytic tinplate unit fills in the market blank of Northern part of China. Electrolytic tinplate integrates the
advantages of steel and tin. It brings excellent properties of formability and strength, paintability and printability,
solderability and weldability, corrosion resistance and beautiful appearance. Tinplate also has nontoxic and good
ductility properties. It is widely used in food packaging, medicine packaging, commodity packaging, instrument and
meter packaging, and industrial product packaging

Uncoiling
Degreasing
The main function of electrolytic degreasing unit is to clean the surface of the steel plate, eliminating
the residual oil, residual iron and other pollutants to control the residual oil and residual iron in a limited
range. Meanwhile, it can restrain the bond of steel plate or other defects during Batch Annealing process
to meet the demand of medium to high standard of the surface cleanness of the steel plate.
Chroming
Chroming is achieved through a process known as electrodeposition, where an electric current is used
to deposit the chromium layer onto the steel substrate. The resulting is thin, typically only a microns,
and provides excellent resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for use in packaging applications.

Five Tanderm Hot Rolling
The Five Tandem Hot Rolling process is an important method used in the production of high-quality
aluminum products, and has helped to revolutionize the aluminum industry by making it possible to
produce lightweight, durable materials with superior mechanical properties.
Online Degassing
Online degassing of aluminum is a process used to remove hydrogen (H) and slag from molten aluminum. It is typically
accomplished in one of three areas of the metalcasting facility: in the transfer ladle, in crucible furnaces, or in an in-line system.
The process involves using either dry nitrogen or argon gas to spin the aluminum and remove the impurities.
Thermtronix® produces two aluminum rotary degassing systems, Autoclean II and Autoclean Electric Shuttle,
which are both foundry-proven methods of spin degassing. AdTech Degassing Unit also produces an online degassing unit
which is used to remove hydrogen (H) and slag from molten aluminum. The unit has dual functions: processing and heating
and serves the high precision molten aluminum purification industry SNIF Method.
